Review, Swatch and Tutorial: Sephora Holiday 2018 Collection*

This Holiday Season, Sephora launched a wide assortment of make-up and beauty items ranging from sponges, lip sets, eyeshadows and more! I was kindly set a few items to review and play with and I have them all swatched for you below! So if you're interested in reading about it, then you know what to do!

First up, we have the Cream Lip Stain Collection, which features 6 lippies ranging from a nude to dark wine berry and it retails for $34 cad.
The colors are:  First Row (Left to Right)
#73 - nude apricot, #79 - bright coral, #23 - mauvey brown beige

Second Row (Left to Right)
#06 - dusty pink, #01 - bright holiday red, #9 - dark wine berry plum

Their liquid lipsticks are a great formula on its own, it is creamy, pigmented and the below swatches are done with one swipe. Sure, #73 looks so light on me, but it would look great pat on the center of a lower lip to create an ombre effect and make the lips look a bit more juicy and plump. These feel very comfortable on the lips and lasts for a few hours until you eat something really greasy. They do not settle on fine lines either so I really appreciate it.

Below is the Enchanted Sky Eyeshadow Palette, which contains 8 eyeshadows (4 matte and 4 shimmers) and retails for $13 cad. This palette performed wonderfully, swatched very well - both the mattes and shimmers and is very sleek and compact. I like to take this when I am on the go, it fits well in a makeup bag and has a nice assortment of shades to create a wide variety of eye looks.  The mattes work as transition shades too, so that is a huge plus.

The Midnight Wishes eyeshadow palette, contains 16 eyeshadows in a long and slim rectangular palette with a built in mirror. There are 4 mattes, 12 shimmers and retails for $30 cad. It is currently listed as on sale for $20 cad on the Sephora site. In general this palette performed well, but some shades were a bit patchy or did not swatch too well - I would say about 3 shades in the 16 eyeshadow palette were a bit disappointing but being a $20 palette, it is a really good deal.

The Enchanting Colors Eye and Face Palette houses 8 eyeshadows (5 mattes and 3 satin shimmers) and three face colors (highlight, blush and bronzer) with a full size mirror and magnetic closure, retailing for $23 cad. This palette also really surprised me in terms of performance - every shadow swatched beautifully, there were no duds and it was all pigmented. This is another great palette to take with you on the go as it also has a blush, bronzer and highlight. I used this palette in the above lipswatch post.

Lastly, I used the below lash set for my lashes in the swatch photos above, they are great quality and you can probably get a few uses out of them as it still looks brand new after I had used it for this post! In addition, the highlighter sticks were creamy and pigmented - my favorite would have to be The Magical Glow shade as it is gold with a pink reflect, which is quite unique and something I haven't seen yet.
LEFT: Sephora Fringe Lash Set - A pair of false lashes with Lash Adhesive.

RIGHT: Sephora Holographic Effect Stick: $13 cad on sale for $10 cad each.
01 - Wonderful Stars - Iridescent silver white that shifts purple blue
02 - The Magical Glow - Champagne Gold with pink reflect

Out of all the products I mentioned above, the ones I would recommend the most are the lashes, the Enchanted Sky Eyeshadow Palette and the Enchanting Colors Face and Eye Palette.

Until next time, XO - M.
