Review and Swatch: OPI - Always Bare For You Collection (Spring 2019)*

This Spring, OPI brings to us a beautiful collection called Always Bare For You, which features six sheer, soft and neutral shades perfect for the upcoming wedding season, and well of course also catered to those of you who love a more natural look to your nails.

This collection is meant to have a sheer romantic look to the nails, so I did not layer the polish to make it opaque, it would defeat the purpose of the collection. Instead, I stuck to my typical two layers and let the polish speak for itself.

Baby, Take a Vow - a true sheer baby pink.
Throw Me A Kiss - light pink base with an iridescent glitter finish.
Bare My Soul - a sheer tan neutral with a hint of pink finish.
Engage-meant to Be - sheer light grey
Chiffon-d of You - a metallic baby pink finish
Ring Bare-er - sheer sage green

While some of you may think, oh sheer polish, why? honestly when applied it looks beautiful. Engage-meant to Be is quickly becoming one of my favorites, it's just so unique I've never seen anything like it, same with Ring Bare-er. The other day I wore Bare My Soul at the office, and received a few compliments as well. Remember, with shades like Bare My Soul and Baby, Take a Vow - you can easily use them as a base, one coat, for a french manicure as well if you like!

Which shade is your favorite?

Until next time, XO - M.

Review: Scentuals Natural and Organic Skincare Review*

I was recently graciously sent the above products from Scentuals to try out, they are a brand that produces Natural and Organic Skincare products, and it is my first time trying out their products. If you're interested in knowing my thoughts, and which products I would recommend then keep on reading below! I have included descriptions of the products directly from their site for your convenience!

Review: Live Clean Natural Deodorants*

Live Clean is honestly on a roll the past few months, launching their foaming hand washes, then foaming body washes and now deodorants! This is so exciting as I feel like this was much needed in their range of body products. I have very sensitive armpits, I've written about this on my blog before, and using generic brands irritate and causes rashes (so attractive, I know). I am currently using LaVanilla Sport Luxe Deodorant which works amazingly, but hey it has quite a hefty price tag. I was very interested in trying these out the minute I got it, so if you're interested in seeing what I think, then keep on reading below!

They have launched four different scents - from left to right in the photo above, you have Fragrance Free, Sparkling Citrus, Cool and Fresh and Powder Clean. These are made with 99% naturally derived ingredients and is said to provide you with freshness, comfort, leaving behind no white residue and providing odour control.

The formula contains baking soda, corn starch, soothing aloe and vitamin E. Certified organic parsley, rosemary and sage will also leave your underarms conditioned and fresh all day.

Lastly, the most important part, which I believe is essential into making sure that irritation does not occur (especially in circumstances like mine), is that this deodorant does not contain aluminum, propylene glycol and triclosan. It does not contain parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, phosphate or silicone. It also does not contain artificial dyes or colors.

These are available for purchase at Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws and retails for approximately $6.99 - $7.99 each.

My personal favorite is the Sparkling Citrus - Fragrance Free wouldn't work for me as I do need some scent as back-up to feel fresh and clean. So far, I have not experienced any irritation, I don't sweat alot so it is doing the job for me and I am quite pleased that I now have a more affordable option for purchase at the drugstore.

Until next time, XO - M.

Review, Swatch & Tutorial: Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Collection*

Physicians Formula is a brand that has recently added quite a few things to their skincare and makeup collection - I thought that I would focus just on the makeup portion here and bring to you some swatches from their Murumuru Butter Eyeshadow Palette , the bronzers, blushes and lastly the lip creams - all of these items can be found in their Murumuru Collection page.

I am so happy that they have decided to expand the range of bronzer shades - it comes in 8 shades now, and you can use these as bronzers or contour powders. They smell faintly of coconuts and as the name suggests, it is like butter on the skin. You only have to gently tap your brush in the pan and it delivers an even sweep of sunlit glow on ur face. This will last you a long time for sure!

The blushes, come in 7 shades total and applies just like the bronzer above and contains the same faint coconut scent. You need to just gently tap your brush in the pan, and it gives you an almost ethereal glow of flushed colors to the cheeks. It looks shimmery on the swatch, but when applied to the face, it just adds dimension to your cheeks, doesn't leave you looking flat and makes you look like you have a healthy glow.

Left: the Tropical Days MuruMuru Butter Eyeshadow Palette comes in two different color variations - this one is called Tropical Days, and the other one is called Sultry Nights (which has more earthy, smokey tones). It contains 12 shades with a mix of mattes, shimmers and swatches just as beautifully on the hand and blends on the lids like a dream. They can be used wet or dry (even though I found the shimmers fine without being wet).

Right: Murumuru Butter Lip Cream contains SPF15, which is a great two in one product, it applies like a smooth balm like texture, it is weightless and has a slick to it, and the pigmentation is beautiful and opaque. It contains lots of hydrating properties to leave your lips soft, moisturized and supple. It also comes in 10 shades, so you will find something that will suit you.

I used the palette above to create a natural daytime look (that can be paired with the nude lip) and showed how easily it is to just create a more dramatic look as well.

I highly recommend these products, you really need to grab one or two considering they're available at the drugstore!

Until next time, XO - M.
