Review: The Body Shop Holiday Collection 2018*

The Body Shop is currently having their Holiday Sale which features up to 50% off on select items, so if there was anything you were eyeing, I would suggest checking to see if they are currently on sale right now. I have always wanted to try the Banana series, I have heard such great things about it, and their shampoo, conditioner + mask are all 50% off too but it seems like their shampoo is sold out online! BOO :(

Anyways, moving onto the reason for this article - every year, The Body Shop releases a few limited edition scents and of course with gift sets as well. It's a great time to try things in mini version if you ask me, you get more variety at a reasonable price! My first exposure to Body Shop was when I was in highschool and I bought their Body Butters - I LOVED them so much, it was so hydrating and emollient.

Below is the Strawberry Festive Picks, which is on sale for $14 (from $28) - this is one of their staple fragrances, but the set itself isn't so again, great chance to try out a few items in this range. I always use their Body Washes as it does not flare my eczema in the colder months since there is no alcohol in the formulation,

Next, we have the Peppermint Candy Cane Festive Sack (which is totally adorable by the way, the sack could be reused for sure) - on sale now from $28 to $14. It smells exactly like a candy cane, and has a slight sweetness to it while being refreshing.

Now, onto what made me fall in love with The Body Shop originally, their Body Butters - this one features their staple scents and is called the Enchanted Body Butter Trio, on sale now for $8 from $15. If you want to try out their limited edition scents, you can get the Festive Body Butter Trio for the same price. That one contains Vanilla Marshmallow, Peppermint Candy Cane and Berry Bon Bon. This one has Almond Milk and Honey, Coconut and Mango.

The Body Shop now carries products that are for the home too - candles, home fragrances, diffusers - below we have the Enchanted Forest Candle on sale from $22 to $11 that will help you keep the scent of a fresh Christmas Pine Tree at home just a little longer (or if you don't have a real one, but an artificial one like me).

Lastly, for those of you who don't know - they also have a huge range of beauty items - everything you can think of make-up wise. Below I have the Lip Liquid Parade which is on sale for $25 from $50. This is my first time trying a liquid product from them, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! As you can see from the swatches below, the glosses are glossy and the liquid lipsticks are opaque and weightless while being comfortable.  The set includes 3 matte liquid lipsticks in Sydney Armaryllis, Nairobi Camellia and Tahiti Hibiscus and 2 Shine Lip Liquids (think lip gloss) in Strawberry Bonbon and Blueberry Chew.

I had wanted to pick up a few items online, but there seems to be a tiny glitch on their website in terms of checkout total being $1 off or so, so I think I'll go into the store as soon as I can to pick up the ones I want! I need the Vanilla Marshmallow body set as well as the Banana hair series products!

Have you tried anything from their Holiday Collection yet? If yes, which one do you like? If not, which ones do you think you want to try?

Until next time, XO - M.
