Rusk Deepshine Color Touch Up is for anyone who is looking to instantly cover roots, blend out your grays and or to create temporary hilights and low-lights. Being a person that has to dye her hair every few months because of the abundance of gray hairs that pop out and magically grow, sometimes I just cannot be bothered, nor have the time to do it when it grows out right away. If I were to dye my hair every time I saw gray roots, I'd be dyeing it every month or few weeks, and that would kill my hair for sure.
When I was contacted to give this product a try, I thought I had nothing to lose. If it worked, I could use it in between dye sessions. The pigment is made with mineral powder and is naturally derived. It is water resistant until your next shampoo.
To use, you just pop the color you want into the palette, and use the brush to directly apply to the roots. I would not recommend this for hilight and low-lights as you'd spend a long time applying the product to your hair from root to tip. To touch up roots is most ideal.
Colors that it comes in are: Light Blonde, copper Red, Intense Red, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown and Black. --> you must purchase the pans separately when you run out to refill the palette.
The PRO's I found from this product are:
- it contains a reusable compact with a full-size mirror within so you can apply it on the go.
- it is natural looking, does not look dull or dry.
- color does not rub off everywhere.
- water resistant.
- evenly covers my grays and roots.
Before and After
Next product I was sent to try was
In the image above from the gray roots - you can see how much roots were shown, that is actually sadly just 3 weeks worth. I had started using Fast the same time since I last dyed my hair and you can see how much my hair has grown. I will continue to buy this product for sure, however in order to really add volume and add in density, I will continue taking my Biotin supplements or my Viviscal pills.
Lastly, if you are looking to grow your hair and have it grow fast, make sure you avoid taking heat products to your hair as it can damage it. Drink lots of water and take your daily vitamins. Finally, do not aggressively brush your hair, again it will cause damage and breakage, try to use something like a Tangle Teaser to get the knots out of your hair.
You are able to find the above listed products at Trade Secrets, and if you have any questions please feel free to let me know and I will do my best to answer them!
Until next time, XO - M.
