Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette Review & Swatches

Introducing the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette! For those of you who are fans of Jaclyn Hill or even of the make-up world, you will know that Becca Cosmetics creates some of the most beautiful and finely milled hilighterss out there in the cosmetic industry. There were hints that were dropped months ago from Jaclyn on YouTube and Snapchat that she was coming up with something new and here it is - the first of a few new products that are launching which includes a new liquid Champagne Pop hilighter and eyeshadow palette comes the face palette (featured below).

As stated on the Sephora Website, this palette contains:
- 2 x 0.19 oz Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed highlighter shades in Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones), Prosecco Pop (medium warm gold)
- 2 x 0.12 oz Mineral Blush in Amaretto (matte toasted almond), Pamplemousse (matte warm coral pink)
- 0.10 oz Luminous Blush in Rosé Spritz (soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer)

*One thing to note is that Amaretto and Pamplemousse aren't completely matte as stated, it is more of a satin finish.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

Attached below are pictures of the packaging as well as a few thoughts I have on it so far. I only just got it in the mail last night, so I haven't had the chance to use all the blushes, but based on the swatches and what I have actually used for the picture below and what I am wearing so far today, it does not disappoint.

Below are pictures of the front and back of the packaging. Classy, simple and elegant:

When opened, there is a protective film that protects the front cover of the palette. At first, I was thinking, oh that makes sense - to protect it from scratching the hard plastic - but then when I removed the film protector, I discovered that it wasn't actually a hard cover. It is a soft gel-like texture - you know like the ones on cell-phone cases? A little kind of sticky (not super sticky), but has a bit of stickiness to it, and if you gently press your nail into it, it kind of holds the imprint for a few seconds and bounces back. I'm not too sure if I am completely sold on the idea of that being the material of the top cover, only because I don't want it to get dirty since it's so beautiful, white and clean. I think I would have preferred a hard cover, which would make wiping down the material much easier as some cross contamination or color tinting can occur (as it is makeup and pigments after all).

In addition, you get a small sample of the Backlight Priming Filter included.

Back of the packaging is below - the gold material really holds the fingerprints - so make sure you wipe it down to keep it clean :) The products are clearly labelled as well.

I think one of my most favorite parts of the packaging is the giant mirror within. I feel comfortable enough bringing this when I travel, that I can do my entire face make-up with it. I've included my hand in the picture as a size comparison.

Pictured below is Rose Spritz on the cheek and Prosecco Pop as the hilight. LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL PROESCCO IS!!! It has now taken over Champagne Pop in my books.

I will put more information soon on the products I used to create the look below, but the prime focus is really on the palette this time - This look will be posted on my Makeup Monday next week.

Until next time, XO - M.
