September sure flew by quickly and the weather is a true reflection of this, it's gotten much chillier in Toronto - we're now at the lows of around 7 degrees and highs of 18/19-ish and it's time to switch a few things around in my skincare and makeup routine.
My monthly favorites include:
1. Laneige - Water Sleeping Mask
2. Kat Von D - Shade & Light Contour Palette
3. Chanel - Vitalumiere Loose Powder Foundation
4. Buxom - True Hue Blush (Temptation)
5. NYX - Lip Liner (Pinky Beige)
6. Paula's Choice - Resist Youth-Extending Daily Mattifying Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 50
7. Make Up Forever - Matte Shadow Trio (custom built at Sephora).
I've been keeping my makeup quite neutral and minimal this month. Matte neutral eyes and loose powder foundation with a little bit of contouring to bring a bit of color to the face. With the cooler months now approaching, I've chose to use a blue-toned bright pop of pink to add a nice flush to the cheeks. The type of flush that looks like you've been in the cold for a while and your cheeks are rosey and pink.
The skincare I'm opting for now is more hydrating, like the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. I love how I put this on before bed and wake up with plump dewy skin. See my most here to see my indepth review about this product.
My review of the Paula's Choice Daily Mattifying Fluid is going to be coming soon, I want to give it one more week of reviewing before posting it - however, I am honestly, 100% obsessed. I will be repurchasing this product over and over again. My two coworkers saw my skin the past week and asked what I have changed. The product itself is really liquidy, but dries to a complete matte and silky finish. It actually has helped fill in my pores and keep my oil at bay. I no longer have to blot my t-zone mid day, and my skin looks quite airbrushed. It also contains SPF 50 - so YES! double win! Please come back next week to see my review of the entire line that I was fortunate enough to review.
What have been some of your favorites this month? I'd love to hear from you!
Until next time, XO - M.
