Review, Swatch & Tutorial: Wet n Wild - Fire and Ice Collection Box*

Wet n Wild has recently launched their limited edition Fire and Ice Collection Box and had graciously sent me the set for review. It retails for $39.99 and contains 4 loose pigments, 2 bronzers, 2 highlighter, 2 eyeshadow palettes and 4 metallic liquid lipsticks. If you're interested in seeing these items swatched, reviewed and applied in a makeup-look, then keep on reading below.

Above are the swatches of everything in this set. My reviews of the items are below:
Loose Pigments:  The loose pigments swatched do not do justice to it applied on the lid with a brush, or with a wet brush. In the photo above it was done with my finger - but I had incorporated them in my eyelooks below. The gold is stellar as is the silvery ice purple/blue ~ those are my definite recommendations!

Bronzers: The bronzers are about a shade apart and both give a natural sunkissed glow to the face. It blends well without being patchy and looks natural without looking like you have alot of powder. You do not end up looking orange which is great!

Highlighter: like all their other highlighter formulations, this is exactly the same - its a buttery shimmer vs. big flecks of glitter. These can go from a sheer wash to really packing on the bling factor by layering it. These icey blue hues are beautiful, and I used them in the inner corner of my makeup look - however, I most likely will be using this as eyeshadow as I'm such a neutral girl! The icey white one is workable for me though and looks beautiful when my skin is lighter, so the winter season will be perfect

Eyeshadow Palettes: All the shades in the Fire palette (Fit for a Queen) performed very well, in the Ice palette (Mythicool Creatures) all was great except for the purple and beige shimmer that was a bit "hard" and I wasn't able to pick up the pigment well. I really like the matte formulas of Wet n Wild shadows - they are like butter and blend like a dream.

Metallic Liquid Lipsticks: I truly believe that Wet n Wild makes one of the best liquid lipstick formulas in the drugstore - and at the price, you really can't beat it. These ones are no exception - though I won't be wearing the dark blue one, the grey, cranberry and bronze are beautiful. I used the cranberry one with bronze in the middle in my "Fire" look below.

I used the above items to create the looks you see above ! I have, however swatched everything else you see seperately in this post!

Until next time, XO - M.
