Review & Tutorial: Spring Makeup-Look ft. all new makeup!

Spring is here and it's the perfect time for a light and natural look with sheer washes of color and a subtle highlight to make yourself glow! I have used the following products listed below to create the look in this blog and have also added a short review of the items as well! This entire look is created with brand new make-up recently launched, so if you're interested in this look then keep on reading below.

Products Used and Review:

FACE:
Primer: Clarins - SOS Primer (minimizes signs of fatigue)* ~ I really enjoy the lightweight formula of this primer, it gave me a subtle glow and tint to make my skin look more awake and didn't add any extra layers or texture to the skin. Definitely recommend!

Foundation: Sephora - Bright Future Skin Tint (25 Beige) ~ This is a super light weight formula that goes from sheer to medium buildable. It is cooling to the face on application and dries to a satin matte finish that looks very natural and provides good coverage for any minor flaws on the skin.

Concealer: Laura Mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer (3N) ~ Does not look cakey on the skin, offers a sheer to medium coverage and does not crease.

Highlighter: L'Oreal - True Match Lumi Glotion (903 Medium Glow)* ~ This is a liquid highlighter that you can mix in with your foundation or apply to the desired areas on the face. I used it on my cheekbones and it gave me a beautiful glow to the skin and is also buildable to give you more of a shine factor if that's what you're into. I love this product and its from the drugstore!

Setting Spray: Too Faced - Festival Refresh Mystical Effects Setting and Refreshing Spray* ~ This has microshimmer particles in it to give you a pearlescent subtle glow to the face. The particles do set on the bottom so make sure you shake it before use. I found that this setting spray leaves a bit of a sticky texture to the face so I wouldn't use this for setting sprays for longevity. This is more so for the glow.

Blush: PIXI - Pixi X Chloe Morello Romantic Radiance Palette* ~ great pigment, however there is kickback from when you dip your brush in it so make sure you only gently dab it because a little goes a long way. Use a softer brush because anything firmer will make the kickback stronger. I appreciate that this palette has three shades that are suitable for all people, a light pink/coral, light pink and darker one. You can mix and match to a custom color for yourself if needed.

EYES:
Shadows: PIXI - Pixi X Chloe Morello Romantic Radiance Palette* ~ The shadows are mostly shimmers and neutral in tone with one trio of mattes on the bottom row which can be used as transition or brow shades (which is great for me because I'm such a neutral lover.

Eyeliner: Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner (Micro Tip)* ~ If you're a lover of the original Stila liquid liner then this one will make you super happy as well. With the micro tip I found that I could do a more precise thinner line, especially for the inner half of my eye and then use the original liquid liner to do my cat eye. With these two liners, I am able to give myself now the perfect cat-eye that goes from thin to the thicker flick section.

Mascara: L'Oreal - Voluminous Superstar X Fiber* ~ If you love the falsie look without going through the trouble of applying falsies, this is a great product for you. You apply the primer coat first, which has fibers to elongate and add volume to your lashes, then you use the other side to apply the mascara on, leaving you with thick and long lashes! I typically always wear liner to bring focus to my eyes because I find that I cannot use just mascara alone, but with this one, I was able to just build my lashes to what I desired and could get away with no liner at all!

Kat Von D - Brow Struck Dimension Powder & Kat Von D - Powder Brow Brush ~ I have a full review of these two products on my blog post here

L'Oreal - Brow Stylist - Boost and Set* ~ This was an okay product for me, I found the applicator too long and because there were no bristles on the wand, the application was a bit messy and I found it too wet. I personally enjoy brow setting products with a bristle/brush like their Brow Stylist Plumper.

LIPS:
Lipstick L'Oreal - Colour Riche Shine (904 Varnished Rosewood)* ~ I AM ADDICTED TO THESE!! I want them in every color, no joke! They are buttery and almost water-like on application but leaves behind a gorgeous color that looks almost like a balm but is a lipstick. It's so beautiful and moisturizing to the lip!

Gloss: PIXI - Pixi x Chloe Morello Lip Icing (Cake)*  ~ When I used this, my hubby asked if I used a lip plumper because my lips looked extra pouty and full. I loved that this was able to do that even though it's not a plumping product (which means no tingly feeling!). I think it's the micro golden pigments in the gloss that is light reflective and makes the lips look fuller. It is not sticky in texture either so it's great!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned above? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time, XO - M.
