OPI - I love applause / Aveda Hand Relief

Polish: OPI - I Love Applause
Description: Semi-Sheer Nude Creme.
Collection: Muppets Most Wanted

This is 3 coats of polish - I used 3 to create the perfect baby pink polish - if you like a subtle sheer nude color, then 2 would be sufficient. I wouldn't recommend 1 coat as it would still leave streak marks on your polish which isn't a pleasant look. For the top coat, I used my holy grail product which is the Nails Inc., 45 second top coat.

To Purchase the polish head to:
http://www.nailpolishcanada.com/products/i-love-applause-by-opi.html

I order all of my polishes from Nail Polish Canada since they have the best priced stuff and FREE SHIPPING to your door - no minimum required!

Side note: Aveda Hand Relief = my go-to hand moisturizer if i'm not reaching for my other handcream I got in Japan. This is non-greasy and I love the herbal scent it gives off, really relaxing!

Bentley and his Blue Buffalo Canned Food

TGIF all!!

Here's some cute pics of Bentley (since I haven't posted some lately).

Here are some pics hubs took of our little furball - him and his favorite canned food, there is no other for him! He refuses to eat his dry kibble without at least a spoon or two of his canned to make it alot more tastier and yummy :) Many times, we've tried to give him just kibble and he just looks up at you with his "really, mom? really.. comeon where's the wet food" look - haha it's too cute :)

Hubs decided to caption the above pic with "oh no! I have to eat my way out!! noooo problem" lol.

Petsmart recently had em on sale so we def stocked up!

Hope that everyone is staying warm in this cold weather, fall's coming - the below pic taken last fall reminds me of how happy B gets when the air is crisp and he gets to run around with his little pals in the dog park - side note, wouldn't he make a cute ambassador for Blue Buffalo ads? hehee..

Until next time!

Illamasqua Nail Polish Haul/Collection

So, if you are a frequent reader of my blog, by now you will know that Illamasqua is leaving Canada, and the Bay is getting rid of all the merchandise that they can at 25% off. I think that their last days are around the end of September.

Anyways, being a nail fanatic, I had to stock up on their polishes because they are such amazing quality, I can go a week without these bad boys chipping and they are so incredibly pigmented.

In addition!!! Their glitter polishes are actually REMOVABLE with regular nail polish and with quite ease. You don't have to use a huge amount of acetone, soak em, and try for dear life to scrape the glitter away. DOUBLE BONUS!!

P.S. Please note that this is my collection of polishes, some were gifted to me, I didn't purchase all of them.

Colors from Top to Bottom, Left to Right.

First Row: Trilliant, Harsh, Spartan
Left Middle Row: Raindrops, Bacterium
Middle Row/Middle: Harem, Jo Mina, Collide
Middle Right: Facet, Boosh
Bottom Row: Viridian, Phallic, Baptiste

Vasanti Cosmetics Review and Look

Vasanti Cosmetics

I recently had the opportunity to review some makeup items and of course I had to share my thoughts with all my lovely readers! I'd like to especially thank Miju at Vasanti for giving me this opportunity :) This is my first "make-up look" post, hope you all enjoy it!

P.S. I thought that it would be nice to note that Vasanti Cosmetics was founded by three Canadian women - love that this is CANADIAN! woo! Products can be found online through their website or at selected Shoppers Drug Mart locations. I find their prices to be really reasonable and I am all for supporting our local brand.

Products Above are from the new Myeong-Dong Collection
Belle River - Vitamin E Infused Lipshine - Bright Coral Peach
Lightning Liner (Liquid) - Wake Me Up
Notre Dame Silky Eyeshadow Duo - Bronzed Pink / Golden Pink

Brief Introduction of this new collection:

"Pinki GosalCo-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Vasanti Cosmetics, decided to take an inspiration trip to South Korea’s capital city, Seoul. While walking down the streets of Myeong-Dong, Seoul’s main shopping district, Gosal couldn’t help but notice the colours and innovation South Korea had to offer. This eventually inspired her to create the new Myeong-Dong (which means bright town in Korean) Collection, taking the colours of South Korea and translating it to suit North American skintones."Here are some pictures of some of the other products featured in this new line:

Look Created:

Overall, I love the texture of the eyeshadow. It is highly pigmented and it is really creamy - also, I didn't experience any fall out which is great. I would love to try a few more of their products. August 2014 Empties

August Empties
Please note that I did not use all these products in just the month of August, I accumulated all my empty bottles and just did a collective post.

Left To Right:
- Bath and Body Works - Forever Sunshine Body Wash
- Kevin Murphy : Hydrate-Me Wash (Shampoo)
-Buxom: Dolly
- Perfekt: Lip Perfection Gel - Paramount
- Shiseido : Moist Hair Pack (Conditioner)
- Macadamia: Moisturizing Rinse
- Equate: Nail Polish Remover
- Clinique: Moisture Surge Intense
- OGX: Coconut Water Shampoo

Products I'd definitely buy again:
1. Shiseido Moist Hair Pack - all you need is one pump, it feels like nothing when you first put it on, however when you rinse it off, your hair is so soft afterwards. I discovered this when I went to Tokyo last year, their hotels provided Shiseido hair products! Couldn't go back since.

2. Equate: Nail Polish Remover - from Walmart, it was cheap and gets the job done. Can't complain - this one even comes with Vitamin E.

3. Clinique - Moisture Surge Intense Moisturizer. Gel formula, light weight, really moisturizing, I typically gravitate to this during the winter and I have oily/combination skin and works.

Until next time, XO - M.

Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora - Black Widow

Totally obsessed with this song right now .. Video concept is ok, kinda silly however.. I'm just gonna stick to listening to the song!!

Illamasqua - Raindrops

Illamasqua - Raindrops

I am so in love with this polish - it is light grey with light silver glitter specks. Subtle and not super glittery like a shiny disco ball. This is with 3 coats and I topped it off with the Nails Inc Caviar Top Coat which you all know by now that it only takes minutes to dry and protects it for days.

Bow Ties for Bentley

Bentley's Auntie and Uncle from Ottawa recently sent him a package of bow ties that we totally forgot to take picture of him with them on.. This morning, before he headed to work with hubs, I decided to put a bow tie on him and little fella was such a good sport - he always lets me put accessories on him. Actually, in the winter, he won't even head out of the house unleses he has a jacket on because poor fella is so cold... Hope you enjoy the adorable pics of my furbaby!

WAX A WAY SUGAR WAX REVIEW

Product: Wax A Way Sugar Wax
Site/Info: http://waxaway.ca/

let me start by saying OMG!! I am in LOVE with this product. This beats my current waxing regiment (which is a cream based wax with a wax warmer from Sally Beauty). I prefer to throw this in the microwave for about 20 seconds, stir it around and let cool if need be. This helps the product to be applied in a thin layer without any resistance. By resistance, I mean that when it is cold, the sugar doesn't spread as well so you end up pulling your hairs. Honestly everyone, I waxed my hubs chest with this and he didn't even feel it when I pulled off the strip. It took every little hair (even little ones that are growing out) with one swift pull. The 2nd amazing part is that it is EASY TO CLEAN when you're done. Typically with regular waxes, you have to get a wax remover oil to remove the residue, however with this you just hop in the shower and it washes off (since it's sugar). I used some soap and warm water to wash the popsicle stick and it is ready to be used again.

I recommended this to everyone of my friends and coworkers. It is amazing! I am forever changed and will be converting to this and leaving my old waxing kit. You can find this at Loblaws or the Superstores and various different stores listed on their site. Trust me, give this a try - you will definately change your mind about waxing because this is the most painless way out of all the ways I've tried!

Until Next Time - XO, M
