Review: Marc Anthony - Dream Big Volume Collection*

If you are looking to get some major volume in your hair, then the Dream Big Volume collection from Marc Anthony True Professionals is for you. If you have been a follower of my blog, you will know that I have always had thin hair, and being postpartum and suffering hair loss while already having thin hair to begin with, you can imagine my dilemma.

When I was sent this collection recently, I immediately incorporated it into my shower routine. I have used this enough times to be able to give a fair review I believe, so if you're interested in reading my thoughts then keep on reading below!

This collection features six different hair products:
This Shampoo helps my hair to feel clean, all the gunk and grease build-up and oils are gone without feeling stripped and dry. The formulation includes the Microfiber Bonding Technology that wraps around each strand of hair to help it build volume without weighing it down.

Like the shampoo, it contains the same Microfiber technology to help thicken the hair strands and strengthen it. I found this to effectively hydrate the ends of my hair, even though I have balayaged it so it is prone to be dry. This helps to detangle it in the shower and I need about a loonie sized for my mid-length hair.

If you are looking for something that can give you some instant oompf, I would say this is it! This product has a pump top that gently mists and poofs the product to where you want to apply it without the need of aerosol. I like to keep this around with me because my hair becomes so blah and flat mid-afternoon. I can instantly just lift sections of my hair and apply it to the roots and fluff it up a bit to work it into the scalp and hair. Be sparing when you use this though as the name suggests, it is used to volumize so the powder adds alot of texture to the hair to hold the volume. If you use too much, it has that gritty like texture that makes my fine hair a bit harder to style since it is fixed in that position. This product is said to last 24 hours which I do agree. I like to use this on second day hair too so I can put my hair up in a messy bun.

This foam is like a airy mousse texture. It is the ultimate multi-tasker! It acts as a treatment for your hair, a styler, volumizer, while helping to strengthen, condition and smooth out your hair. It nourishes the strands of your hair while detangling it. It doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky and it doesn't affect the drying time at all.

When you are drying  your hair, to add a bit more volume, you can add this thickening cream to your damp hair before you blow dry it. It contains the Microfibers, a blend of Hydrolyzed Wheat, Corn and Soy Proteins to help strengthen, condition and smooth out your hair. I find that this product actually helps my natural wavey hair with flyaways be more tamed, it is less frizzy and also makes my hair look more va-va-voom oompf! You only need about a nickle sized amount on the palm of your hand to work into the mid to ends of your hair.

To set all your hard work, I like to add a light mist of this hair spray to basically seal everything in. It isn't stiff, and doesn't leave your hair crunchy or chunky. It contains the same corn and soy proteins with hydrolyzed wheat to strengthen and condition the hair as well as the microfibers to add volume. So I like to add this to the roots if I'm going out, and on my waves if I have just curled my hair so it gives it lasting power and my curls stay in my hair until I wash my hair (which means alot because usually my curls or waves go flat after a few hours).

All products mentioned are Paraben-free, Sulfate-free, Phthalate-free

I hope these products are able to provide you with the same volumizing joy as it did for me! My must have's would be the shampoo, volumizing cream and the hair spray!

Until next time, XO - M.
