First Aid Beauty, is a brand that I have been using on and off for the past few years, I have reviewed their products before here on the blog and if you're interested in reading about it, then click the link here. One of my favorite products from them is their Radiance Pads and the Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. The Radiance Pads are great at clearing up my skin whenever it is acting up - like if I see some bumps, or if I'm breaking out, I will see this calm it and smooth things out. It is a liquid exfoliant that clarifies the skin and also brightens it. The Ultra Repair Cream has been my saviour in the colder months when my eczema is flaring up. It isn't thick, it feels weightless and hydrates my hands and doesn't irritate it. I keep a tube in my purse as well as my washroom and nightstand because I go through this stuff QUICK!
When I had the opportunity to try out some new items from FAB, I was very excited to see if I would like them as much as the two mentioned above. I was sent four things total to try, so if you're interested in reading my thoughts on them - then keep on reading below.
Hello Fab Coconut Micellar Makeup Melter - $32 cad.
The product is described as "A gentle, yet effective makeup remover with coconut water, coconut oil, and sodium hyaluronate to melt away even the most stubborn makeup and leave skin hydrated, conditioned, and smoothed." - I found this product effective only on days that I wear less make-up, so the days I go to the office with my natural makeup looks etc - on those days I was able to remove every trace of make-up and then follow-up with a double cleanse. On days that I wore heavy makeup, which are my tutorial days or for events, this product wasn't powerful enough to break down everything at one shot, I needed to cleanse with another pad and then follow-up with a cleanser. This is light weight and good for sensitive skin, and would also be a good option for those who rarely wear makeup or just a light amount of it. It also isn't fragranced heavily so it would be good for those who have sensitive sinuses as well.
Hello Fab Bendy Avocado Concealer - $28 cad.
This is "A flexible, second-skin concealer that provides buildable, weightless coverage with superfood avocado to help hydrate and nourish the skin." I love this concealer alot - it is lightweight, doesn't crease and feels weightless. It works to hide my undereye circles and offers a light to buildable medium coverage.
Hello Fab Coconut Water Cream - $42 cad
Described as "An oil-free, refreshingly light water cream infused with skin nourishing coconut water that hydrocharges your skin with a burst of electrolyte-rich moisture." - If you are a fan of gel-like and light-weight moisturizers, then this is your baby. I would recommend this in the summer time when you do not need a heavy dose of hydration as once again this is a lighter moisturizer. It sinks into the skin quickly and has a very gentle scent of coconut, nothing obnoxious or too strong. My skin felt very comfortable and gave it a more plumped appearance with repeated use.
Hello Fab KONA Eye Stick - $30 cad
The product is described as "A three-in-one cooling and soothing eye treatment that instantly hydrates, de-puffs, and primes tired eyes." I have to agree that it is soothing, and provides hydration however I didn't experience the cooling that much, so I actually like to keep this in the fridge and apply it to help with the depuffing, and when I use it like that, it works wonders! I'm not sure if you can see in the bottom left photo, but there is a subtle pearlescent shimmer that provides you with some brightness under the eyes for a more awakened look.
Out of all the products above, I would highly recommend the concealer, it is fantastic for the everyday person looking for some natural coverage! It's comfortable, it does the job and is light enough but also buildable on days that you need a bit more.
Until next time, XO - M.
