Review: Empties: January 2019 - November2020*

It has been almost two years since my last empties post, so I have accrued alot of items to share with you all. As always, I will post the name of the item, a brief and quick round-up of my thoughts and whether or not I would repurchase it. I would say that this is about 80% of my empties? there are some that I have just tossed and forgotten to save, so below you will find a combination of baby, hair, skin, cosmetics and other misc products. Buckle up, it's going to be one long post!

LUSH: It's Raining Men shower gel - this is my favorite shower gel and scent from LUSH, I have repurchased this continuously through the past few years and will definitely continue to do so. It smells exactly like like a warm honey sweetness and leaves the skin moisturized.
The Body Shop: Glazed Apple shower gel - loved this shower gel, smells of crisp apples however it was limited edition to 2019 holiday collection. The Body Shop releases limited scents each fall and winter so always be on a look out!
Aveeno: Fresh Green Blend Shampoo - loved the scent of this, made my hair clean - good to have but wouldn't purchase immediately, would like to see what else Aveeno has in their haircare line.
JoWae: Purifying Cleansing Gel - I've reviewed this on the blog before and I love this! A little goes a long way and it helps rid my face of any dirt/grease while leaving it hydrated still. It also does a great job removing makeup as well without needing a double cleanse.
shu uemura: nutri:nectar skin purifier cleansing oil - this did its job, but in all honesty I do not think I will be repurchasing this specific one. It wasn't extraordinary to warrant the price. I love the lashes from Shu Uemura though, if you want to check out something from the brand.
The Body Shop: Cactus Blossom shower gel - again, like the glazed apple one above, The Body Shop has great formulations for their body washes, just that there are different scents so I'll continue to repurchase them

pixi: Glow Tonic - ive used a few bottles of this already and have shared it with my friends, family and coworkers as well. It brings out your natural radiance and glow by gently exfoliating it and helps to clear any pigmentation or scarring of the skin as well as any uneven-ness.
Aleva Naturals: Daily Soothing Moisturizer - I was gifted this from a coworker for my babyshower and it is a thick and moisturizing but I had so many other items to use I didn't get to use much of this before it expired :( oops! I do like other items from the Aleva baby line, so I am interested to try out more
Live Clean: soothing relief foaming wash - This is great, love the liveclean line for babies - I got this in the beginning before I had Ethan because I didn't know if he would have sensitive skin and I wanted to make sure I was covered. Now that I know he doesn't I won't repurchase this, but the other ones like the calming bedtime bubble bath and wash which we all love.
Live Clean: gentle moisture diaper ointment - this is a thicker paste that comes out in a squeeze tube which is great to not have to stick your fingers in a tub of it.
Lavanilla: Sport Active, The Healthy Deodorant - LOVE this, however I'm so sad that this is now discontinued from Sephora and I will have to order it from their site directly from the US. Therefore, as much as I want to repurchase this (as I have in the past), I will need to find an alternative until they can ship to Canada for a reasonable rate (and by that I mean it wont be around $20!).
Holista: Tea tree oil - good tea tree oil, not sure if I'll repurchase this as there are so many brands that make tea tree oils, so I want to see what my options are.
Saje: mountain high diffuser oil - Saje makes my favorite blends of diffuser oils and I always have a variety of them in my nightstand, so the same goes as the below, these two scents I will continue to repurchase for sure

living proof: perfect hair day (5-in-1 styling treatment) - great hair treatment product I like to use a small amount in my towel dried damp hair before blow drying. It helps to protect and smooth out the ends and smells great. I will repurchase this again in the future.
Caudalie: beauty elixir - love this as a pick me up refresher through the day, or as part of my skincare routine before I apply serum and moisturizer. I will also repurchase this when possible.
Beauty Secrets: Nourishing Acetone - This is my holy grail acetone, it is great value (cheap if I may say so!) and contains vitamin E in its formulation so it won't leave behind the white dried skin from regular acetone. I have purchased this for many years and will continue to do so.
pixi: hydrating milky mist* - love love love! From the applicator spritz to the scent and formulation - keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized. You can use it as part of your skincare regiment, throughout the day for a boost of hydration and lastly even as a makeup setting spray in the winter.
Youth to the People: Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser - I LOVE this cleanser so much but it is so pricey :( I wish that I could repurchase this but I will have to wait a bit.
Hylamide: Matte 12* - This product has a thicker consistency so a little goes a long way - I use this as a primer and it helped to fill in pores while controlling my oil production and kept my face matte.
Origins: Mega-mushroom relief & resilience soothing cream* - my husband ended up using this as he saw me trying it and he liked it alot himself. It was moisturizing and a great cream to use in the winter time, it has a light herbal relaxing spa scent that I loved personally!
wet n wild: under the sheets makeup remover wipes* - great makeup wipes, helped me remove liquid lipstick and a full face of makeup from my tutorials
Kirkland - Makeup remover wipes - my makeup artist friend introduced me to these and I must say you get the most bang for your buck with these - they come textured so it really helps you to remove all traces of makeup from the face. I will continue to always repurchase these!

LASPA: SPF 20 Daily Sun Protection Lotion* - this product was okay - it has a thicker consistency and takes a while to sink into the skin - again, less is more with this as it does leave behind a white mark until it is fully absorbed.
liveclean: After Sun. Aloe Vera Gel* - this stuff is incredible - use this for any skin irritations from being in the sun too long, and it also works for any type of skin irritations where aloe can treat. My son was in the sun for too long and had burned his shoulders, I was scared that it would start peeling but after immediately putting this on it was fantastic and he didn't peel at all. The redness dissipated and worked so well to calm the skin. I would definitely be repurchasing this!
liveclean: Calming Bedtime Bubble Bath and Wash* -  this is a continued repurchase at our house - my son uses this before bed and the lavender scents really help to put him in that calm sleepy mood. Love it!
First Aid Beauty: Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy* - This stuff works great for my eczema prone hands in the winter time, it has a very subtle almost minty scent that I love but the main reason is that it does not irritate my hands at all and it actually moisturizes it and helps with the dry eczema patches before it cracks. This is a must have for me during the colder seasons and is a continued repurchase for me.
liveclean: tearless shampoo & wash* - I used this on my son as well when trying to see which formulation would work best (didn't know if he would have any irritations) - I like the size of this as well as the fact that it has a pump bottle. This is a great product and you only need one pump for the entire body and half a pump for the hair.
The Body Shop: Almond Milk and Honey Body Butter* - The Body Shop body butters are cult favorites and they all work great in moisturizing the skin, I've been using them since I was 13? and will continue to do so! They have their staple collection but also comes out with limited edition holiday scents! This one is great, but I also love the shea one.
Lise Watier: Deep Cleansing Oil* - this is a good oil to milky cleanser, it effectively removed all traces of makeup from my face and has a very subtle floral scent.

belif: Cleansing herb water* -  I loved this cleansing water, put some on a cotton pad and it helps to remove all your makeup before cleansing. It smells like a spa and is super lightweight and leaves no residue. I highly recommend this product to everyone and will definitely repurchase.
Dior: hydralife deep hydration sorbet water essence* - A great hydrating serum that hydrates the skin. It is luxurious for sure, and smells that way too. I would repurchase this for sure if I had the budget to because it is that part of the skincare regiment that makes me feel like I'm spoiling myself :)
First Aid Beauty: Facial Radiance Pads* - I've been using these for MANY years and will continue to do so - they are gentle but effective liquid exfoliating pads that you apply to the face before your skincare regiment to help rid the face of any minor imperfections - like bumps, scarring, pimples etc. They work! and I recommend them to everyone!
LUSH: Wash behind your ears - they have great liquid body washes that i have purchased for the last 10 years. They have great ingredients and work on even the most sensitive skin. In addition they smell wonderfully.
L'Occitane - Supple Skin Oil - This is a must have for everyone! You only need 2-3 pumps for the body but makes it smell of subtle sweet almonds and gives your skin a wonderful glow. If you do not want to apply an oil directly to the skin, then you can add 2 pumps to a dollop of your favorite moisturizer. I like to use this before bed and just let it work its magic while i sleep. I will be repurchasing this!
IGK: Beach Club texturizing spray - This spray is wonderful it adds grit and texture to the hair and for people with thin hair like me, it adds the volume I need. I love this and will continue to repurchase it!
pixi: rose cream cleanser* - This is a great cream cleanser for the colder months when I like to use a cream base for hydration when the crisp air sucks out all the moisture and this one is really good because it gets rid of all makeup traces without stripping the skin.

COVER FX: Total Cover Cream Foundation* - This is a full coverage cream based foundation that could hide anything you need, even a tattoo. I like to use this as a spot concealer to be honest for when I have scarring from prior acne. On days where I wake up looking like a zombie this also does great as a concealer. As a foundation, I like a sheer to medium coverage so this was too heavy for me, but again - this is my go-to when I need a heavy duty concealer to mask it all.
Sephora: Bright Future skin tint - A great tinted moisturizer that offers a sheer coverage that leaves the skin looking natural, I love it!
Too Faced: Born This Way Foundation* - a medium coverage foundation that leaves a natural satin finish to the skin. I really liked this one as it is the type of foundation that looks better and better as the day goes on.
Estee Lauder: Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Serum Makeup* - this gives a dewy finish to to the skin with a medium coverage - loved the skincare benefits to this as well.
Dior: STAR foundation* - another medium to full coverage foundation that has a dewy natural finish.
Dior: Forever  24hour wear high perfection skin-caring matte foundation* - a matte medium to full coverage foundation, looks great on the skin. I normally don't like a matte foundation but this one worked really well and looked even better as the day went on.
Too Faced: Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer* - great concealer, love the big fat doe foot applicator and has a medium full coverage finish while looking natural.
Too Faced: Naturally Radiant Concealer* - this was a light watery concealer that offers a very light finish. It wasn't for me as most things I need covered are a medium-full coverage.
Wet n Wild - Photo Focus Concealer* - this is a medium coverage concealer that is a great drugstore find. I will continue to use this and to be honest does better than alot of high end concealers. It dries to a natural finish and covers what I need it to!

COVER FX: Custom Cover Drops* - These were all the craze a few years ago and I could see why - use one drop for a light finish and 3-4 drops for a full coverage finish. These were pigment drops that you could add to a primer, moisturizer etc to act as your foundation. I loved the customizable properties of this depending on what I needed that day.
House of Lashes: Lash Glue - Great lash glue, kept my lashes on all day.
KOKO Lashes - I've talked about these lashes for years - I don't think they have my specific one anymore "KOKO" but they were light weight, and beautiful!
Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Shampoo & Conditioner - These were deluxed sized samples I got at the hotel and they were so good, I really loved it, it had a light herbal scent to it and cleansed my scalp really well and didn't make it feel stripped or left behind any residue. It also helped with the oil control and didn't need me washing my hair everyday.
CND Vinylux (Wisteria Haze)* -  This was my favorite polish for a good year, the perfect lilac cream based polish that had a week long stay time - can't complain.
OPI Infinite Shine ProStay Gloss* - a great glossy top coat that offers shine and helps to extend the length of the polish.
Urban Decay - Optical Illusion Complexion Primer* - a silicone primer that helps to fill in pores so you can get a flawless base for your foundation and rest of the makeup routine. There is some slick to it so a little goes a long way.
Indie Lee: Blemish Stick - a repeated repurchase in this household, i recommend it to all my friends and coworkers and they love it as well.It is pricey, but it does work and even my hubby uses it. It helps to really bring down any inflammation and shortens the duration of the pimple.
Wet n Wild Retractable Brow Pencil* - I will continue to repurchase this (as I've done in the past) it has a firmer formulation so you can get price application and it does not crumble. I LOVE this and it has outperformed many of my higher end ones, so I will definitely continue to have these in my makeup collection.
Fenty - FlyLiner Longwear Liquid Liner - Another holy grail product here, perfect precision for a cat eye. A great liquid liner with a sharp precise tip! It lasted me a long time as well and offers a fluid one stroke perfection finish.
Catrice: Beautifying Lip Smoother* - A great cushiony lip balm/gloss product that gives a healthy shine to the lips and keeps it moisturized and fills in fine lines.
Make Up For Ever:Artist Acrylip* - A highly pigmented gloss that was comfortable on the lips and opaque in color and did not bleed.
Gucci: Guilty Rollerball - A very mature and sexy scent that I took with me on the go, loved it!
L'oreal Infallible Liquid Liner* - A nice and opaque white liquid liner from the drugstore - great for any graphic liner looks you want to create.

Until next time, XO - M
