I had recently received some goodies from YSL and you know I'm always down to create a one-brand tutorial! With Halloween coming this week, that means that the Holidays are right around the corner and what better way than to bring around some elegance to your Holiday look with YSL. I have created three looks with their YSL Couture Palette Collector Yconic Purple and two of their Tatouage Couture Metallics Liquid Lips (that I LOVE and have done a previous post about before). YSL Couture Palette Collector Yconic Purple - pigmented, buttery and blendable. I have found that some high end shadows lack the pigmentation, but I have not encountered this issue with the Yconic Purple palette. In fact, I was very surprised with how beautiful this palette was. It built on the lid wonderfully and did not become patchy. It didn't even require a primer for the light blue shade to pop and it lasted a full day without creasing.

All Hours Concealer - a very light weight, liquidy concealer that is highly pigmented and requires only very little to do its job. It is also buildable to full coverage without looking cakey or patchy. I use this with a duo fiber short bristle concealer brush and it makes the area look airbrushed.

Le Compact Encre De Peau (Powder Compact) - This shade was a tad light for me for right now since I am still carrying some color from summer, however it'll work for me in the winter months.  This has a bouncy formula that when applied to the skin immediately turns to powder and blends perfectly. It can be used as both a foundation or as a setting powder (finisher) and offers a sheer to medium buildable coverage if used as a foundation (which I have done in the photos below). It is a very blendable product that makes the skin look satin airbrushed like. I would love to have this in 1-2 shades darker for use right now! A little does go a long way with this product. 

Dessin Des Levres/The Lip Styler - A lip liner that glides on the lips and does not tug at all. It leaves behind a smooth line that does not drag or skip and just a beautiful trace of pigmented color. The lip pencil contains a flexible lip blender that is silicone like, not brush, that blurs and smooths with a built on sharpener. To use, just twist the barrel. You can use this as a lip liner, or even use the lip blender for a more diffused look to the lips, like a stain.

Tatouage Couture The Metallic - I love the original formulation of this lipsticks, I own quite a few of them, it's weightless, feels like water on the lips but packs a punch in color pigmentation. They launched the same formulation but in metallics and I am in love. They do their metallics very tastefully which I appreciate, it just looks classy - like that deep berry red is perfect for the Holidays and you bet I will be wearing it ALOT. Below you will see in the first row, a copper neutral brown look I created with the palette paired with the two metallic lips in shades 102 and 103. I wanted to show you that a palette could be used in different ways, you could easily also use the dark blue shade to buff out the lower lash line to throw some color in the look. 

Above I decided to play with more color and use the light blue shade on the entire lid with the dark blue on the outer corner. I buffed out the lid with the light brown beige color on the bottom left of the palette. I highlighter the inner bottom lash line with the white to enlarge the eyes and then ran a combination of the two blues on my lower lash line. Here you can also do the reverse and pop the darker brown copper on the lower lash line. I also used two different lips here, the metallic tatouage in shade 102 and the original Tatouage in shade 5, my favorite one which is like a rosey mauve tone.
