Review: Lise Watier Skincare*

My exposure to Lise Watier was always with their cosmetics, so when I was sent a few of their skincare items to try out, I was quite intrigued to see how it would work out. The four items I was sent were developed and produced in collaboration with a Korean-based laboratory and include two cleansers, one oil and one cream based, a scrub and a toner. To read more about the products and my thoughts, then keep on reading below.

I will preface this by saying that I have not been able to find an oil cleanser that I liked until I met this one. My biggest issue with oil cleansers is the feeling of oil on the skin after cleansing, but this one just leaves my skin feeling hydrated, cleansed and refreshing without leaving behind an oily film. This contains a mixture of sweet almond, avocado, coconut, babassu, and macadamia oil to leave your skin supple and smooth. I used this to cleanse my face with makeup and it worked well to remove all traces, including liquid liner.

If you are a fan of having squeaky clean skin, then this is for you - by squeaky I actually mean that your skin is so clean that it feels squeaky. I originally had thought that because it is a cream cleanser, it would be more suitable for me to use for the winter time, however because of the squeaky clean properties as well as the cooling formulation (menthol), it is actually better for the summer time when my skin is more oily/combination. You only need a pea sized amount as it lathers into a rich creamy foam which is great - a tube will last you a few months at least!

This is a sugar scrub that contains rose petals and is thick and amazing for those of you who want to really feel a gritty scrub. Don't worry, it isn't abrasive at all - it melts as you rub it into your skin and you are just left with feeling refreshed, radiant and cleansed. This is one of my favorite products that was sent for me to try.

This gel toner is infused with rose petals as well as little balls of gel that melt on your skin once warmed. This is to be applied after cleansing the skin to help rid of any remaining dirt or makeup that cleansing may have missed. The scent of rose is very subtle and it feels very hydrating on the skin (no burning alcohol feeling some toners may have and does not dry it out).

Until next time, XO - M.
