Quo Cosmetics is introducing a glamorous new fall collection, which includes 2 face defining palettes, 3 eye shadow palettes, an eyebrow palette and 3 shades of matte lipsticks. This collection also includes a make-up brush set which is in the same color tone as the fall packaging and comes in a matching storage bag, perfect for travel.

Quo always has such beautiful packaging when they release their limited edition collection. The last one that I really liked was the nautical one - super cute! This one has a purple (my favorite color) intricate lace or petal design on it.

The Eyeshadow Palette (Plum Perfect) - Though beautiful in packaging and display/color variation, I find that most Quo shadow palettes are a hit or a miss. I have never found one where I enjoyed every single shadow equally. Sometimes they perfect their mattes and the shimmers are lacking, or vice versa. In this case, the lighter shadows (the light pink, white and beige) were gorgeous, pigmented and buttery however the darker shadows really lacked in pigmentation (as you can see in the picture). The darker shadows were already swatched 3 times and still the color payoff wasn't strong. I would not buy this palette unfortunately, especially since they are priced at $18 a palette.

The Face Palette (Sweet Illusion) - I've always said this before and I'll continue to say it, it is very rare for a cosmetics company to deliver a hit on every single product they release. Therefore, just because I didn't like the shadow palette above, doesn't mean that the rest of the collection or products in their line. This product is what I mean exactly, I would definitely recommend you to buy this product. It is a blush, highlighter and bronzing powder all in one package. The colors deliver a beautiful and natural flush of color and the highlighter offers a dewy sheen - not a glittery mess. The bronzing powder wasn't orange, it just made me look like I was in the sun and had a bit of glow.

Brow Powder - no complaints here - love the brow cream included to set the powder and hairs in place. The two brow shades offer the user a chance to customize a shade to their liking so it works for both light and dark haired individuals.

Lipstick (Red Alert) - These lipsticks are matte, however they are not dry as hell. They are buttery and glide on nicely to the lips and delivers great pigmentation with one swipe and doesn't skip over your lips and gives you patchiness. At $14, they are a bit pricey in terms of drugstore make-up, however to find a beautiful blue-toned red with the same quality at the drugstore is also rare, so I would recommend picking this product up as well

Brush set - Soft bristles and a great beginning set for someone looking to invest in some brushes. My very first brushes were from Quo (the individual ones).and I used them for a few years. I really appreciate the small details put into the packaging - i.e. the storage pouch has a plastic lining inside, making for easier cleaning when needed. The brushes included are a liner, blush, powder, foundation, eyeshadow and lip brush. As you can see in the picture below, I prefer using the lip brush as the concealer brush, only because it is quite a bit thicker in width, perfect for applying concealer in my opinion. I prefer just applying lipstick straight from the bullet itself. However, how you use these brushes are honestly up to you - don't feel like you're defined by how a company or person labels it.

Overall, out of this 5 piece Fall Collection sent to me, I think that having 4 of them that I thoroughly enjoyed is a pretty good hit. If I had to pick one thing out of everything, it would definitely be the face palette!

Until next time, XO - M.
