GOSH Cosmetics has been stocked at Shoppers Drug Mart for a while now and though I have tried a few products here and there, this is my first time trying out the entire range and everything mentioned in this post are part of the new core products available starting this month. Keep on reading to see a makeup look featuring some of these items, as well as what products I would definitely recommend you to go and pick up.
9 Shades To Be Cool in Copenhagen $20 This palette features 9 highly pigmented matte shades inspired by the coolness and colors of the Nordic Lights. The shades are all neutral in nature and range from soft nude and brown to grey and black tones. This is suitable for all skin tones and is perfume free.
Attached below are swatches from the palette as well as the liner, eye shadow stick and lipstick (on top). As you can see, they are pretty pigmented (especially the lighter shades), they are buttery and smooth. I think it's really worth the $20 - divided it is $2.22 a shadow - that's a steal!
The Forever Matt Eye Shadow Stick $14 is also divine, it is matte, buttery and pigmented - one swipe was enough to deliver the perfect amount of color. It is waterproof and does not need a brush. It is a twist up formula and does not require sharpening as well and is perfume free. Though this one is $14, I still think this is a good buy. It can be both a base color for shadow as well as a shadow on its own.
The Giant Pro Liner $16 - I need to go buy a backup right now. Seriously! It delivers a intense black color, and though the thick tip seems intimidating, it actually allows you to apply both thin (great for the wing) and for thick lines (liner on the rest of the lid). It is long lasting, lasts all day without smudging, yet it is easy to remove end of day.

This Contour N' Strobe Kit $32 in Light is an okay product. I'm not sure if it is worth the $32 only because I do not really believe that it does what it says - I mean it is a great highlighting and bronzer palette, but I can't contour with these colors - three of the four products have a highlight sheen to it. In addition, they say that it is a 4-in-1 product, you can highlight, blush, 2x contour - however the blush isn't pigmented enough to be a blush plus it's too shimmery - I would still use it as a highlighter. This palette is ultra soft, creamy and great to blend out - however again, if you are buying this to contour and use as a 4-in-1 I really would suggest that this might not completely satisfy you.
As for the images below, I decided to format my product shots differently - for me to effectively show you how a product works, I would do a before and after. The Primer Plus Skin Perfector $25 - reduces imperfections and achieves a healthy natural glow. It visibly evens skin tone with the peach toned primer formula and the pearl pigments gives you a beautiful glow. It provides your skin with moisture while delivering a great base for your foundation application. So yes, this is a good buy!
The #FoundationDrops $26 comes in 5 colors, which may be a bit difficult to cater to different skin tones (the light and dark tones may feel left out). However, if you can find the right color, you can see that with two thin layers, it offered great coverage. In addition, I just patted a bit extra and it worked well as a concealer. The foundation contains argan oil to hydrate and soften skin. I do enjoy this product, it lasted the day and while it didn't do anything amazing like helping me stay matte throughout the day (I have an oily T-Zone), as a drugstore higher priced foundation (and obviously cheaper than luxury stores) it did a fab job and I would repurchase this.
The Velvet Touch Matt lipstick $14 in Matte Cranberry is a matte finish formula that doesn't leave a dry finish to the lips. It is moisturizing and is enriched with natural bee, carnauba and candelilla wax. It also contains hyaluronic acid for fuller and even more hydrated lips. It is paraben free as well.
Lastly, the mascaras, YES! you must try - ugh I sound like such a paid for advertisement or something, but I'm not paid to say this. The mascara - is lovely! I have the shortest lashes and the Rebel Eyes Long Wear Volume Mascara $17 worked perfectly to curve my lashes, have them stay curled, not flake off or transfer to my bottom lash line, and also contains sea buckthorn seed oil to protect the lashes. As you can see in the before and after pictures, my lashes are actually visible and quite voluminous after the application. The Lash Sculpting Fibre Mascara $17 is also quite lovely as well - it contains Bladderwrack seaweed from the Danish Coast that delivers ultra-high levels of antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
Overall, I highly recommend these products to you if you are looking for some new products to try at Shoppers Drug Mart. They are higher than most drugstore make-up items, however I find these to be higher in quality and more reliable. They have not let me down in delivery and I am willing to pay a bit more for products that work.
Until next time, XO - M.
