Review, Swatch and Tutorial: Laura Mercier - Nights Out Eye Shadow Palette (Holiday 2018)*

This week's Makeup Monday Post features two of Laura Mercier's Holiday 2018 items - the Nights Out Eye Shadow Palette as well as the Pret-A-Powder Limited Edition Powder and Puff in Translucent Medium Deep. My main focus will definitely be on this beautiful eyeshadow palette that is really multifunctional in terms of application - with an assortment of mattes and shimmers as well as neutral to bold colors, you are able to create either a very natural look, or something a bit more smokey and dramatic. With the color scheme of this palette, you can even create a smokey eye with neutral tones as opposed to having to using dark tones. This is a great palette for that make-up lover in your life just because it is so versatile! If you're interested in seeing what this palette is capable of, then just keep on reading below! I have them swatched on my hand and I have also created three separate looks for you.

I have swatched this palette a bit differently this time, as compared to my other palette swatches. I have grouped this palette into three different quads to show just one of the ways you can wear this palette. If you are ever lost as to how to use a palette with different tones like the one below, just break it down into different sections. Instead of picking one or two from the palette, divide up into sections and see how it can work for you.

So as you can see below, I have the shades labelled per quad with the corresponding eye look then.

As mentioned above, the below three looks are crated with each quad break-down and is listed below as they are above from left to right.
Brow Bone: Bone
Crease: Neo Nude
Inner Half: Night Violet
Outer Half and Bottom Lash Line: Plum Frost

Inner Half: Gilded
Outer Half: Amber Glow
Inner Corner: Stardust
Lower Lash Line and Middle of the Lid: Pink Pulse

Crease: Bone (from quad one)
All over the lid: Black Frost
Middle of the Lid: Sequin
Defined Crease to blend out harsh lines: Voodoo
Bottom Lash Line: Voodoo and Skyline mixed

To create the makeup look, I used the following products, also from Laura Mercier:
Lipstick: Lip Parfait Creamy Color Balm (Raspberry Ripple)
Bronzer: Pret-A-Powder Limited Edition Powder & Puff (Translucent Medium Deep)* I had received this for PR as well and it was too dark for me, so I had the brilliant idea to use it as a bronzer and it is BEAUTIFUL. It offers a sheer glow to the face that looks so natural - you only need the smallest amount to buff it where you want some glow and it does not look fake or cakey at all. It just looks airbrushed on the skin.

Until next time, XO - M.
