Review, Swatch & Tutorial: L'Oreal Paradise Enchanted Collection*

This summer, L'Oreal has launched some juicy new products that smell of fresh peaches. The Paradise Enchanted Collection features an eyeshadow palette, two blushes, two liners and a brand new mascara primer. I have all these products swatched, reviewed and even used them in a look below, so if you're interested in seeing how these products perform, then keep on reading below!

The Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette - $22.99cad is a warm tone lovers dream. It has a combination of mattes, shimmers and contains one satin finish. Overall, the shimmer formulation is exceptional, the mattes are great except for the light peach shade, first color in the second row above. That light peach color did not blend out and was a tad chalky and required extra effort. All the swatches above are done with one finger swipe so you can truly see the pigmentation and buttery-ness of the shadows. The packaging is a light pink plastic case that has a snap closure. The scent of this peach palette is very subtle and smells more natural to me. Its great for those of you who prefer something more mild, which I do. I found the other Peach Palette in the market right now a bit too strong so this is a great alternative and is available at the drugstore.

Paradise Enchanted Fruit-Scented Blush - $18.99 cad each and comes in two shades called Fantastical and Bashful. They are housed in a plastic container, and the product side flips up to reveal a mirror directly underneath. As you can see from the photo, the bottom portion is concave, so you would think that it would hold a small brush or something, but it is just hollow which is a bit strange to me. If it was meant to be hollow I think a flat bottom would make the package a bit more streamlined. Anyways, Fantastical is a shade lighter than Bashful, which can be used as a highlighter as well. It also has the subtle smell of peaches like the shadow palette.

Voluminous Lash Paradise Liquid Liner (Rose Gold & Black) - $12.99 cad each
These liners come in a felt tip that creates a uniform and even line. For me, creating a wing was quite easy as I just had to flick the tip slightly to create the cat eye. Both applied flawlessly when the bottle was shaken but the definite stand out is the rose gold that is a true metallic rose gold and lasted all day without rubbing off. The black does dry to a semi sheen finish but it does not have any fragrance to it.

Lastly, there is the Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Primer - $13.99 cad that is a new release following the infamous Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara - $13.99 cad that took the market by storm. Typically, my lashes on its own are short and straight, but once I placed the primer and then layered it with the mascara, look how long my lashes are below! I was so pleasantly surprised I thought I had some natural falsies on. I have never been able to do this before in the past with any mascara so you can definitely bet that I will be keeping this duo in my regular makeup routine. In addition, the removal process was a breeze - I used the L'Oreal micellar water to remove it and then followed up with a cleanser.

Until next time, XO - M.
