eva-nyc is Coming Soon To Costco Canada!*

Eva-Nyc is a haircare brand headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. I think my first experience with them was through Ipsy, a monthly beauty subscription service. When I was contacted by the marketing team to test out some products as they are going to start being carried in Costco Canada locations, I couldn't say no.

I had previously tried their dry shampoo before and it was a pleasant experience - it didn't over texturize my hair, leaving it matted and hard to comb through. It was soft, and did an effective job soaking up the gunk and oil from my roots.

Clean It Up Shampoo
As indicated by their website, this product is said to gently cleanse, restore and nourish your scalp. The Argan Oil feeds your hair with vitamins and nutrients, while Keravis Protein gives it vitality and strength. As a result, your hair is left healthy, soft and smooth. It is also said to make your hair 3x stronger and is rich in vitamins A & E. It is free of parabens, artificial colors and is made in Israel.

Soften Up Conditioner
This product is said to gently moisturize, detangle and repair your hair, again it contains Argan Oil which feeds your hair with vitamins and nutrients, and Keravis Protein to give your hair vitality and strength. Like the shampoo, it is also said to make your hair 3x stronger and is rich in vitamins A & E. It is free of parabens, artificial colors and is made in Israel.

My Thoughts:
I found the shampoo to be very moisturizing. It cleans my hair well and by that I mean that it feels clean afterwards, and that it doesn't feel stripped, or that it has alot of leftover product residue. My hair felt weightless and soft, and a very little goes a long way. I think it's because I have such thin and fine hair, that I only had to use half a pump, and it did its job effectively. Same goes with the conditioner. The only drawback I have to say, is the scent. I am the type of girl that prefers fresher and clean, light scents. However, I found the fragrance of this product a bit overwhelming. My coworker and friends didn't mind the smell at all - so I really think it's just my overly sensitive sense of smell. It of course, smells strongly of Argan Oil, and contains a subtle musky, warm note to it - I wouldn't say sandalwood per say, but around that family group. The shampoo smells less strong than the conditioner, in case you're curious.

Make sure you go on and head over to Costco to take a look at these next time you're there! It's great knowing that more beauty brands are making its way into Costco, considering the last time I was there, it was the generic drugstore brands that were there :)

Until next time, XO - M.
