Mary Kay recently launched two new Mineral Eye Color Quads in Shades of Jade and Berry Haute. I have created a look featuring each of the palettes below and as always, mapped out what I did and how as well. In addition, all products used in the tutorial are in the image above.
Of the two palettes I prefer the Shades of Jade one as the greens show up more and pop more. With the Berry Haute palette (even though my favorite shadow color is purple), I found that the shadows all seemed to blend into one another to the point where it didn't quite pop and stand out individually or have any extreme dimension. I mean, it's there just not as dramatic as the Shades of Jade one.
Both formulations are buttery smooth and blend effortlessly! The one thing to note is the size of the palettes - they are about the length of my thumb, so the corner shades are a bit hard to get to as my brush is exactly the width of the pan of that specific shadow (see image on the left). The palettes retail for $21 cad each.
