An on-going concern that I've had and am battling is my thin and lack-volume hair. I have written several blog entries about my battle with this and what products I have tried throughout the times that have worked or not worked for me. When I saw that Viviscal has released hair-care products in addition to their current hair supplements they are known for, I knew I had to give it a try and see if it would work for me.
Their haircare line, called Gorgeous Growth, contains:

3. Viviscal Gorgeous Growth Densifying Elixer - $29.99

Gorgeous Growth Densifying Shampoo:
This product is said to gently cleanse the hair and scalp, leaving your hair looking fuller and thicker. The botanical fragrance leaves hair infused with a refreshing scent that lasts.
My thoughts:
- Yes I agree, the scent of this product is amazing - in fact, I kept using this product because of its beautiful fragrance.
- I do agree that it gently cleanses the scalp and hair - it builds a light lather and washes off easily, leaving no residue.
- My hair felt hydrated and light weight. When blow dried, it allowed my hair to be voluminous and bouncy.
Gorgeous Growth Densifying Conditioner:
The site states that the product promotes the appearance of healthy looking hair. It conditions the scalp and nourishes with Biotin, Keratin and Zinc. It is suitable for everyday use and all hair types including dry , damaged, color treated, fine and thin hair. The Botanical fragrance leaves hair infused with a refreshing scent that lasts.
My thoughts:
- This conditioner, like the shampoo has the same beautiful scent. I do find that I need a fair amount of this product (almost a bit more than the size of a toonie on my palm) for the conditioner to effectively do its job - i.e. feel moisturized and silky smooth.
Gorgeous Growth Densifying Elixer:
This is said to be an ultimate lightweight, body-boosting leave-in treatment for thicker looking hair. It is not greasy and does not weigh down the hair. The rest of the benefits this product has on the site is the same as the conditioner above.
My Thoughts:
- Out of the three products I've tried, the Elixer is my favorite. The reason is that it is true, it does not weigh down my hair and it does not make it greasy. When applied to my hair, it does make it look fuller when I blowdry my hair.
- The Shampoo and Conditioner does the same thing - it helps to make your hair look fuller, so why don't I just use the Elixer?
Like I mentioned above, out of all the products I've tried - the Elixer is my favorite. I found that for some reason, when I used the Shampoo and Conditioner, I shed alot of hair. I also included some hair above that was collected in my drain. Everyday was around the same amount - and I didn't want to be overly gross and include all my hair samples. So I thought to myself, if these products help your hair appear fuller, I can get the same result from just the Elixer alone.
Just because the Shampoo and Conditioner didn't work for me, it doesn't mean the same for you! It's an important note I want to add :) As I've always told you, I do provide you with honest reviews so here's mine.
