Review: My Current Favorite Hand-Creams*

While we are getting glimpses of warmer weather here in Toronto, Winter isn't quite over yet! I know because well, it's still cold plus my hands are still suffering the effects of the weather with the occasional eczema flare-up. It takes me a while to find some hand creams that do not irritate me, so I had to share my findings with you now that I have narrowed it down to my top 5.

Why 5 you say? well, each one is different - in terms of scent and availability. Honorable mention does go to the Fresh - Seaberry Nourishing Hand Cream that I have been using every winter for the last 2-3 years, that stuff is amazing! But hey, I need to try something new right?

I will review the products from left to right in the above image, so if you're interested in learning more, then keep on reading below!

1. AVON - Skin So Soft (Winter Vanilla)*- This stuff is decadent and smells of a perfect balance of vanilla cream, brown sugar and caramel without being overly sweet. The hand cream works well to moisturize the hands without being overly greasy. I can go about my day right after and have no fears of getting the lotion everywhere. This is limited edition to the holidays so stock up if you want to enjoy it over the year.

2. Korres - Natural Greek Olive and Orange Blossom Body Cream* - Unlike the one above, this is ultra nourishing, it contains Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It is said to be a hand and body lotion so it helps to firm and contour your body if you choose to use it there. I like to use this at night when I am sleeping like a hand mask, so I wake up with soft hands and not have to worry about getting it on things. The scent of this is rather strong so sometimes I like to pair it with an unscented product to kind of dilute it a bit but the benefits of this work and is worth it.

3. Zoya - Healing Dry Skin Hand and Body Cream- Every-time I do my nails, I always use this right after, it's like a salon treatment in a tube. It smells beautiful, hydrates without being greasy and sinks/melts into the skin right away. It has a very subtle and mild sweet scent to it and I keep it on my beauty vanity so I have access to it all the time.

4. First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration - For the times I do not want any scent, I go to this one. This has a cooling sensation to it and is very lightweight as well, it has a very subtle almost peppermint scent (even though it is fragrance free). I have used this in my rotation for many years and it was one of my first discoveries to battle my eczema hands during the dry winter seasons.

5. CAKE - Heavy Cream Intensive Hand Repair Balm*- This is the newest product to be added to my rotation and man I normally do not enjoy scents that are too sweet but this is delicious, makes me crave some cupcakes because of its french vanilla butterfrosting like scent that isn't too obnoxious so don't worry! This product contains 20% pure shea butter, aloe vera, coconut oil and green tea extracts to soothe and hydrate dry hands. This is a highly recommend!

Have you tried any of the hand-creams above? do you have any favorites? I'd love to hear from you!

Until next time, XO - M.
