Quo 2016 Holiday Collection with Swatches*

QUO has launched its Holiday 2016 Collection which is composed of 27 different items/gift sets. I was kindly set 3 of them to review and below I've included my detailed thoughts and reviews of each of them, including some swatches as well.

The 3 sets sent include:
1. Quo Luxury Lipstick Wardrobe - $30 cad
2. Quo Soft Focus Highlighting Palette - $30 cad
3. Quo Ready Set-Travel Brush Set - $17 cad

These sets make for a great gift for a friend, family-member or co-worker. of the three that I tried, the quality is great! I've tried different sets before from Quo, which were a hit or a miss but these three are solid. Yay!!

Below features the Quo Soft Focus Highlighting Palette - when I first looked at it, it looked very boring, did nothing much. The colors looked too subtle and it just looked quite... bland. However, when it actually came to swatching the products... wow, was I ever wrong. Just goes to show, can't judge a product before actually trying it on. They were buttery smooth, silky and pigmented. These highlighters give you a beautiful diffused highlight look. It's suitable for daily wear and creates a natural glow. I highly recommend you to pick these up, especially at $30, it's a great price compared to what is offered at department stores.

The below is the Quo Ready Set-Travel Brush Set - it's a great set to give someone you know who always travels a lot. The contained is sleek and sturdy and you get a good range or brushes to be able to help you achieve the look you need - an eyeliner/brow brush, a flat shadow brush, fluffy blending brush and a blush/powder brush. This is also good for someone you know that always packs a cosmetics bag in their purse for make-up on the go.

Lastly is the Quo Luxury Lipstick Wardrobe which contains four lipsticks that are pigmented and smooth in application. This lipstick kit is great for anybody - it takes you from a neutral beige/nude look to a holiday festive red! In between you also get a pretty baby pink and a mauvey rose-tone as well.

From left to right - Creme, Orchid, Fig and Raspberry Red

I also swatched them for you so you can see what they look like - as you can see, the bottom two are quite neutral, and then you get a beautiful holiday red and a pretty bubblegum pink!

L to R: Raspberry Red and Orchid - These two I would say are more of a matte finish
L to R: Fig and Creme - these two are a satin/sheer finish.

Overall, these products are amazing and yes, though they were sent for my review, I give my honest opinion to you (rest assured). If I had to pick them in order, I suggest the lipstick set first, then the highlighter palette and then the travel brush set. I highly suggest that you go pick one up for a friend or even for yourself as a treat! Though these may be drugstore (available at Shoppers Drug Mart), do not underestimate them! They perform just as well as some of the higher end counterparts you may find.

Until next time, XO - M.
