April Guest Post - Spring Pastels ft Classy On The Run

Hello!  I am so excited to be sharing my Top 10 Pastel Nail Polishes for Spring here on Miranda's blog.  Feel free to check out my blog, Classy On The Run.  I love sharing reviews, favourites, and hauls!  Today I will be sharing my favourite 10 pastel nail polishes, and let me tell you, narrowing it down was pretty hard.  I am pretty pleased that I managed to narrow it down, and not have every polish be a Julep!  I love how soft and feminine pastels are, so this theme was right up my alley!
Royal Botanical Gardens by Nails Inc. This is one of the newest polishes in my collection.  The ice cream sundae on the cap is cute, the name is beautiful, but the creamy blue polish is the real winner.  I love this robin's egg blue for spring!  This formula is nearly perfect-- opaque in two coats and loaded with shine! Jeanne by Julep Jeanne is similar to Royal Botanical Gardens, however it is a touch less green, and a touch more powdery.  While the formula is a bit gloopy, with careful, thin layers it becomes a beautiful polish.  I love the baby blue shade, especially when included in floral themed nail art! Turquoise & Caicos by Essie Turquoise & Caicos is one of my all time favourite nail polishes.  This minty green has a bit more of a muted tone than the other blues I have decided to feature.  I love that this mint is muted because I find it more work appropriate (is mint nail polish ever really work appropriate?)
Paulette by Julep Paulette is one of my top five Julep polishes ever.  Let's start with that.  I love the purple orchid with golden shimmer.  The shimmer shows up well on the nail with out being over powering.  This polish is light, feminine, but with an edge. Go Ginza by Essie Go Ginza is a delicate pale lavender that has all the femininity of a ballet slipper pink.  I adore how understated this beauty is.
Basil Street by Nails Inc. This almond nude creme is a flawless choice for a chic spring mani.  I enjoy wearing this on my nails with a bold pink or red.  The balance of the two makes me feel like I belong walking through Yorkville in downtown Toronto.  I love the high shine finish of this polish. Kiko #221 I wish this pretty little polish had a name!  I purchased this in Italy a number of years ago at Kiko.  Kiko is a European makeup brand that has stores similar to MAC, but much less expensive!  This is a super sheer shimmery polish that is great on its own or as a top coat.
Dot by Zoya What a sweet name!  Dot is a beautiful mid-tone baby pink.  Decent coverage, appropriate for all occasions.  This sweet polish is a lovely way to celebrate Spring with out drawing too much attention. Phyllis by Julep Phyllis is a beautiful warm pink that reminds me of a flower's petals.  This polish has fantastic coverage. Shari by Julep Shari is a wonderful sweet pea creme.  While this pink boarders on the taupe-grey family, I love how ladylike this shade is.  Shari has great two coat coverage.  This is a polish that women of all ages can enjoy! Thanks for having me, Miranda! What are your favourite pastel polishes?
